As I leave week 7 and move into week 8 of healing, I am reminded of “7” representing completion, so I’ll end my weekly hand journey with this post.
Make no mistake. The toughest part has just begun, so I welcome your continued prayers!
This week began the toys! I actually looked forward to going to hand therapy to see what toys my therapist will give me! She has something different for me every time I visit.
Because of my nerve damage, my fine motor skills need strengthening. Every “toy” is focused on that. The immediate goal is that I make a fist by week 12. That will determine if a 2nd surgery is needed to break through scar tissue.
What God has shown me this week with my physical and emotional healing (job and family drama 🙄)….
- Continue in grace (for yourself o this journey and for others on theirs)
- Persistence (stay the course)
- Endurance (Strengthening happens while doing not hoping)
- Focus (the mind propels the drive, but the drive determines the destination! Guard your mind)!
I hope my healing journey has blessed you on yours in whatever way you’re being healed.
